The game Memoranda is about forgetting things and being forgotten.
A young woman slowly finds she is forgetting her own name in a point-and-click adventure game with magic realism components. Is she indeed losing her memory, or could the odd events be explained by something else?
The story takes place in a sleepy little town with a mix of regular and unusual residents. ranging from an elephant hiding in a man’s house seeking to become a human to a World War II survivor soldier. All of these personalities have one thing in common: they are all grieving the loss of something. A name, a husband, or even someone’s sanity might be at stake!
The short stories by Haruki Murakami that portray a bizarre universe filled with lone characters served as inspiration for the narrative.
