In This War of Mine, you play not as an elite soldier, but as a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with a lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game offers the experience of war seen from a completely new perspective.
The rhythm of this war of mine is determined by the day and night cycle. During the day, snipers in the street prevent you from leaving your shelter, so you need to focus on maintaining your shelter: ready, trading and caring for survivors. At night, take one of your civilians on a mission to find items that will help you survive.
Make vital decisions based on your conscience. Try to protect everyone from your shelter or sacrifice some to survive in the long run. There are no good or bad decisions during a war; there is only survival. The sooner you understand it, the better.
