Transcend the physical realm and take on the identity of Spinch, a super-fast organism that seeks to protect its missing progeny from the never-ending invasion of twisted and formless animals.
Spinch will have you rewatch episodes until you perfect your timing and reflexes, bringing back the classic challenge. Battle six enigmatic bosses across six living worlds by jumping, dodging, climbing, swimming, jumping, and even shooting your own children. To improve your chances of finding missing dolls, gather stuff. Watch out for your cousin; she’s watching some of your relatives’ children but she’s a touch strange. Even the most experienced runners will find the task challenging because there is only one hour left and short restarts can be made in real life or outside of the game.
The creative and award-winning Canadian cartoonist Jesse Jacobs, known for his elegant and realistic caricatures with bold and straightforward colour schemes, conceived and brought to life the Spinch universe. His art has linkages to psychedelia, spirituality, alternate universes, and the blending of technology and nature. The retro sound beat and electronic noises from Spinch were used by James Kirkpatrick, famed for his early Canadian graffiti movement and avant-garde hip-hop performer Thesis Sahib, to create a soundstage.
