EA21 is the first half of a two-part Spec Ops game mode revamp, and it includes stealth AI improvements, mission displays, and in-game chat support!
Spec Ops now generates scenarios with several objectives that you can complete in any order. The objectives range from removing officers to destroying vehicles and ammo bins, with more types of objectives planned for the forthcoming EA22 update.
When you play as the Eagles, you will command TALON, the Eagle army’s elite special operations point. Eagle Advisor leads TALON, which now has a new appearance and includes images by long-time Starstrafe illustrators and community members.
The Night Vision and Squad Order menus are also checked by EA21. To use these functionalities, you no longer need to bring certain goods with you. Simply press a key that can be accessed through the input options menu. Night vision goggles have also been enhanced, making it easier to observe soldiers on the battlefield when the lights are turned on.
