You are in ruin, you are hungry and your only friends are a vintage hoverbike and a plate of ramen noodles.
In Desert Child, you will play as a young and talented motorcycle racer who needs to discover how you can raise enough cash through races and odd jobs to win your one-way ticket to the Red Planet to enter the biggest race in the universe, the Grand Prix.
The world as we know it is slowly becoming uninhabitable, as many people on Earth have moved to Mars for a better quality of life, thanks to a government subsidy that helped relocate citizens by providing affordable passage. After several years of executing this program, the government announces that in two weeks, tickets to Mars would rise in price, making the exodus to the Red Planet impossible to obtain for regular citizens.
You will deliver pizzas, collect pieces of weapons, hunt rewards and make some fans along the way. Between races, you will explore colourful cities where you can repair and improve your bike, dine at the local kitchen and fight gangsters, bounty hunters and all kinds of interesting characters, just so you can have a good life. Food and keep your bike running.
Nothing is free in Desert Child.
